Check for play in the yoke shafts going into the rear diff. IF there is too much play in and out, the wear will create stress in the posi unit and bad noises will ensue. Fluid won't help this one. I have a lot a rear end noise, and so does my car. The yoke shafts are just sitting here waiting on me.
