Rag joint on a '76

The rag joint on my '76 has decided that it wanted to crack, leaving me with a barely steerable car. As you all know, steering is a very important aspect of driving a car, unless your destination lies within a perfectly straight line.

Having said that, this is what i need:

But it says that it is only for a car with a flat on the steering box shaft. Is there any reason that mine WOULDN'T have a flat spot? AFAIK, it's all original. I just don't feel like pulling it all apart right now.

You don't have to tear it apart. With the steering wheel set straight ahead, the flat on the shaft should be readily visible at the 12 o'clock position.

All I have seen have the flat unless someone has changed the steering box out with something else.   The rag joint change is relatively simple.  Just be patient.  It will only go in one way.
