If you can get it off the car, you can (re)build it. Only takes general tools, and a little patience.

I bought a rebuild kit for mine 3 years ago,still ain't got around ta doin it,it don't look that tough

rebuilt the one on my 78 three years ago (and i'm all thumbs) I also replaced the hose at the same time.
