Vette(s): 1972 conv, 4-speed, 350, 200hp, numbers match, rally wheels, war bonnett yellow w/white top. good condition, nice driver.
I am in the process of re-building the slave cylinder and control valve. Are there any secrets to doing this? Can I buy the inner rod, there is a worn spot on it, that I am sure is the reason it is leaking. THANKS     Mark

The slave cylinders are sold as rebuilds with a core charge - that may be the easier route - don't know about the rod itself. Larry at CS?Lamp

Smile  Tanks Paul.  I ordered one last nite. Now I can/will tackel the control valve. Pretty sure I can get a kit for that. Gotta keep on the straight and narrow ya know.

Check this site out for rebuild help and questions http://jimshea.corvettefaq.com/?cat=5 and if things look too worn out consider the rack and pinion replacement Steerroids it replaces the steering box, control valve and slave valve.
