Mine is leaking on my 74...
...rebuildable, buy rebuilt, buy new?
On closer inspection it is the pump leaking....saw seal kits...worth resealing or just go rebuilt/new?

Check all hoses first, Less expensive to replace. Clean up all wet areas real good, to find out where the leak is. Remember all that stuff is shy of 40 years old. Any of the raveges of weather and time will harden and deterierate rubber lines. You could try and shorten the clamped line on the pump, just trim and replace end, then retighten and check for leaks. You could always go with a Borgeson system, and be rid of the in between stuff.

Am it a leak-leak, or is it just "seeping"? Either way, the cylinders can be rebuild/resealed....not too bad of a job, either. I need to do the one on my '74, too....it's only in the "seepage" stage right now, but it'll only get worse. My control valve was leaking pretty bad, but I put some "snake oil" in it a few years ago, and it ain't leaked a drop since.

Like Manchester mentioned...you could just put in a Borgeson system.
I put one in the '81 last summer. No more leaks, faster ratio and smoother steering. No more twitchy steering wheel when you catch those shallow tire ruts in the road cause by trucks. Love it!

I think I would go with a pump. Less hassle, and better fix. "DO" replace the lines since you have the pump off. One shot, two birds, one job.
You'll be happier in the end!
