My book says that all Corvettes after '72 had a limited slip, and almost all C3s before that did. If it's a C3, it certainly has a limited slip diff. (Limited slip = posi)

Vette(s): Numbers matching 1972 350 4 speed, silver pewter body with blue interior
But just for fun, to test on any axle, jack up the rear of the car so both wheels are off the ground. Turn one wheel forward and watch the other wheel to see which way it spins as you turn yours. If it turns forward as well, you have limited slip, if the other wheels turns the opposite (reverse) you have an open type differential and your life will dull and boring.

My Christmas present to ME! Bought Sat 11-30-2013. 72, 350 4 spd, Silver with blue interior...Can't you just hear Pablo Cruz playing in the background?

Quick and easiest; do a short burn-out and take a look! One or two tire marks on the road will solve the mystery.
