Hi Guys, I'm still whinning about play in my steering, we have replaced everything from steering box (3 times )to front end bushings. I don't believe there should be any play in the steering, there is no play in the steering in my other two vehicles. Help, Gene

Don't know if this is the problem but, it could be the lower steering column bearing. If it is, Eckler's sells them for $21.99 (part # 38128) just a thought.

Let's see now...we've been thru the bushings, ball joints, checked the bolts for the gearbox, replaced the gearbox several times, checked the frame for cracks, rag joint...what else could it be?
Tie rod ends
Idler arm
P/S ball/socket wear(if it has P/S)
Wheel bearings loose
Bearing(s) in column(long shot, but it could happen)
and finally...
A loose nut holding the wheel...
(sorry Gene...I just couldn't help myself!)
How far does the steering wheel move before the front wheels start to turn? What you have may be fairly normal for the design used in Sharks(assisted ram)...
