I have the 383 on an engine stand almost ready to go in the car.  I am going with a 700cfm Holly double pumper.  The question is with the low end torque of the 383, what manifold to use?  Coments Please.

If you can get it to fit under your hood I suggest a performer RPM or the RPM air gap. You will need to use a lower profile air cleaner if you got a stock small block hood.

If it's strictly a street car, use a dual plane, but something like the Performer Air-Gap or RPM Air-Gap as already suggested. Also as suggested, you'll need a very low clearance air cleaner assembly with a stock hood.

I have a standard Edelbrock Performer intake on my '78 L82, and it works great with a stock engine and carburetor and is considered a stock replacement type intake. Your stroker definitely needs a different intake tuned for its best rpm range. The Torker or other single-plane is good for a car that is driven at high rpm's all the time like on the race track.

I thought a RPM would not fit under a stock 69 small block hood no matter what you did with an air cleaner.

The performer RPM fits fine under a '76 hood with low profile cleaner.

ive heard that the they will both fit with a drop base

but there is very little clearance on my BBC with an l-88 hood and an air-gap RPM using a drop base
