Vette(s): 1980 currently BlackRose in color soon to be a dualquad tunnel rammed electric liquid pearl blue street machine
Hello, after sitting idle for the past 6 months I have finally decided to begin work on my vette and have a few questions for you to answer and make my life easier....thanx in advance for any and all help..........
1. what is the largest tire able to tuck within the rear wheel wells.......
2.I plan on putting headers on it...what are the common problems with this procedure....(sparkplug replacement,Starter over heating and such? )
3. I have side pipes on this car, is there a problem utilizing headers and side pipes? ( back pressure )

I went from a 715 hp Mopar to this 300 hp vette and feel it is lacking so it is time for a engine swap to something with a bit more bite to it....just looking for info to soften the surprises...I have never been under the hood of a vette so its all new to me.......and I know that there are common problems that you guys will know about...please give me a headsup......Thanx again

I'm the best at what I do, What I do isn't very nice

to replce the engine (you may already know) you need an overhead beam hoist. drain cooling system, crankcase and transmission. remove hood from hinges. remove radiator hases and heater hoses (if needed), remove batterey and cables, fan shroud, remove and plug oil cooler lines, and remove radiator core. this shoud keep many problems from occuring when taking it out. some of the things listed you may not find nesassary but i would still do them. ask if you have any other questions
