Mikee,
I contacted Summit Racing last night to see what they would recommend for an upgrade on my L-48 in my 74 Corvette. I told them I wanted to add some HP and performance without giving up gas mileage and drivability. I also wanted to keep a very close to stock appearance including stock exhaust so I could keep the chrome plug covers. They recommended a Edelbrock EDL2101 intake, a Comp Cam Kit CCA K12 238 2, Push rods and rockers and a Shift kit B&M #BMM 20228 for the automaitc trans. The cam has a 262/270 duration and a 462/469 lift, very close to the cam you are thinking about. Sounds like you must be on the right track compared to what they recommended to me. Good Luck.

I am very fortunate to have a freind who operates the best machine shop in Orlando,Fl. for the past 30+ years. He also has a shop full of drag racers who helped me with the cam and manifold combo AND the heads selection.BTW I spoke to their wholesaler to make sure of the cam specs.and he commented to me this cam at idle sounds very "lopey" and that the Qjet carb was a good choice.
