Hey there folks:
I saw some posts on a google site about painting VHT Clear on polished aluminum parts.
Has anyone done this and are there any tricks - special cleaning issues, etc? Tired of polishing the parts!!!
Thanks,
gurtz

Hi Rick, have you bought the paint yet? I also saw some in the "Eastwood" cat. They may have a how to on their site. I'm sure like anything the prep will be the hardest and most important step.

Thanks EBO:
I found another site that said to stay away from the VHT, and go with the Por 15 Prep and Clear.
I will check into the Eastwood also!
Thanks again!

I thought every one knew about https://www.eastwood.com they have all restoration "Stuff" like chassis black, rust converter all kinds of goodies. I just purchased their dual blaster that shoots soda and or sand, glass bead, shot peen or a combo of both. I plan to take all the paint off the red car down to original primer with soda balst. You know how we say while your at it....after the blaster came I had to go buy a real mans compressor
and then black pipe, and then a real good filter, regulator, shut off valve, flex air connector......ahe yi yi!
I love my wife
