A carb is something you can learn fairly quickly but I have always had problems with carbs balking getting the car moving in a hurry. Yes, you know , like from light to light or at the track. Anyhow, I plan to put the Edelbrock 3550 fuel injection unit on my new 454 for the Vette. I need some reliability in my old age. Don't need to add to the 918 jobs I already have to do to the car. It will also be nice to just push a button to go from turnpike economy to a pre-set for the track. |devil|

Scott, just to set your mind at ease a little, when you overreved it, if it was just a second or two, it was probably just the tach needle flying from inertia. They tend to overreact to fast changes. So you probably didn't do any hidden damage, either. Joe

I run mine with the choke unhooked (one less thing to go wrong). Just takes a little patience when cold starting, and we all know we need patience with these beauties, plus it sounds nice in the parkin lot after the shows......... |thumb| |thumb| |thumb|
