Can I replace the rear oil seal with out crank removal?
will the cross fire work without out smog pump and egr stuff?

Yes you can.  If you have the two piece seal, the oil pan comes off and the seal can be replaced.  If you have the one piece seal you need to remove the transmission.    Sorry, but I don't remember which year they switched from two to one piece.  My guess is you have a two piece.

They didn't start the one piece until about 86, so you for sure have two piece.  As for the cross fire, it was pretty crude for fuel injection, so didn't have the automatic compensation built in like newer ones.  I am sure it can be recalibrated to compensate, but there won't be any significant performance or drivability advantage, so why bother.
