Need a little help here guys, I am in the final stages of a from scratch build and I purchased a Miloden high volume oil pump and an ARP oil pump drive shaft.
My question, Is the drive shaft supposed to be loose fitting on the oil pump or do I need to do something to make it clip in place? previously the shaft has always been connected by a plastic keeper that snaps on holding it on the pump firmly but I have chosen to go the ARP way.
I have stopped the build until I know that everything is going to be right... dont want the shaft falling off.
Thanks
Andy

Looks fine to me. As long as it has a way to keep the shaft fairly centered on the pump, it's all good. It can't be really tight, since there does need to be some flexibility to compensate for stuff not being totally aligned. What you have there should work great. Just be sure to install the shaft with the pump....you'll never be able to get the shaft in from the top.
