On my '72 the oil pressure gauge is mechanical and is connected to a fitting in the top of the block, just left of the distributor and right behind the intake.

What year are you working on?

My oil pressure guage seems to bounce around quite a bit. It will jump up and down very quickly. What should i check.

Mine does the same thing. I've heard that it is common on vettes with this kind of guage. I basically just live with it.

That is usually caused by the sending unit. Very common.
