Replacing pistons and no longer can find my book on small block rebuilds. My shop manual doesn't go to this level of detail, so... One question: I have to assume the only thing I put on connecting rod bolts and nuts is oil, right? And I assume the same would apply to really any bolt/nut inside the engine that is exposed to constant oil?

Light oil on the threads of the bolts just makes the torque readings more accurate. Engine oil is fine, as would be auto trans fluid.
