This has gotta be a newbie question but will an engine leak if the oil is overfilled?
My baby has been sitting for a few weeks while I have been redoing the interior.   I noticed yesterday there was oil under the engine. When I checked the oil it looked to be a quart over the full line.
I had a garage change the oil right after I got it out for the first time to bring it home to work on and it has not been driven since.  There was no oil under it where I had it stored.  It went from storage to the oil change then home and now there is oil.
thanks for any suggestions and thoughts.

Chances are if the garage overfilled it they probably also spilled some oil during the oil change. Overfilling can contribute to a leak. I would definitey get the oil to the proper level and clean up the oil that has gathered on the engine. Then drive it a little and recheck it. Most if the leaks are not that complex to repair unless it is at the rear main or in the front of the crank.
