Actually I ordered them from a chevy dealer on their website. Which I had originally found through goodwrench. It's been a while, I don't remember the details, I had ordered a bunch of them.

Vette(s): 1982 Black over red, doing a resto.
I think when the Dana corp. bought, or came aboard with Fram, the quality was not as good, I use Wix filters, I think NAPA filters are made by Wix.
About the antidrain back valve, since the filter is in the upright position, the oil can't go anywhere.

Vette(s): 1975 C3 Red, T-Tops, Black Interior. All I need is time and money! Getting there!
The antidrain back valve still helps a bit. It not as important as if the filter was the other way. But it does help keep the oil from draining out of the passages. This is not a lot of volume, but it does make some difference. Every slight advantage helps.

I ordered the delco 1218 from Eckler's for 5 bucks and included it in an order. Couldn't find it locally.
