hi l..................Looking for your thoughts on adding overdriven unit to my 1979 corvette stock no modS, HAS any installed one in the 5 years , 60 mph at 3200 prms doesn't cut it , tank of fuel for a 100 miles car is stock ,has 4 speed b/w trans,3.73 rears .looking for your input. note in days of old I ran o/d unit in my 9149 fords,56 dodge p/u no problems,now ?? thanks dwa175

Check your Other Thread for ideas on the O/D unit.
If you are now interested in swapping the standard trans for an automatic O/D, then you really only have 2 chooses...the 700R4, or the 2004R. I personally prefer the 700, but several folks here have used the 2004R with great success.
