Vette(s): ...
Take your time replacing the engine if you do., If the 283 runs good and you can drive it , then do it. enjoy the Vette you bought this summer as much as you can then over the winter work on the engine. Meanwhile save your money for the project too. Vette fever is great and I don't even own one, mostly just ride in Ian with Colleen. But what a ride!!!!!ha,ha! |cheers| |saluteflag| |laugh|

Vette(s): My son and I buy, sell, and restore Corvettes. Specializing in C3's. We've owned/restored nearly 100 Vettes.
A 283 has a short stroke that makes for faster revs. Eay to raise 250+ hp with carb, intake, and exhaust. Keep the little chevy and tune her if its not just worn out. Then just find a good 4 bolt 350.
