Well, I finally got some new shoes for my baby. Decided to get the 17X8 Torque Thrust II with 4" backspace and 255/50R17 tires. They fit great except they rub slightly on the front when steering over to lock. Not going to worry about it, just not turn too sharply. Man, the ride is a lot better - seems more stable and response is great.

look great, wish I could justify new wheel and tires, it is just to hard when mine work just fine ( oh yeah, and I have to pay those speeding tickets I got this month)

Your wheels look great!! I've been thinking of doing something similar, but have a question! Why the Torque Thrust vs Cragar? Looks, cost, something else? I like them both, headed down the cragar path, but now not so sure!!

Those look great! I've been wanting to do the same ever since I put on the offset t-arms, but just like 1BadLT1, I can't justify it yet because my BFG's are almost new. Guess I have to do some serious rubber burning to wear them down

It was about $1500 for the wheels, tires, etc. Took awhile to save that much, but I definitely like the result. Also, I considered the Cragars, but like the Torque Thrusts better. Dejablu 38533.5201967593

Oh yea, I like Cragar but those are much nicer. Ilike your frenched bumper too.

Vette(s): Just finished 2 years of Blood, Sweat, & Tears restoring my 69 Coupe. Crimsom Red, 427, vacuum removed, Shot of Steeroids, Killer Lights, 5 Speed, still working on small things but she is back on the road.
They look great!!! I went with the Torq thrust ll for my 69. I went with a slightly different set up. I went with 4" backspacing on the front and 4.75" backspacing for the rear. I went with 235 for the front based on feed back from Aftershark to prevent the rubbing on the sharp turns and 255 for the rear. I agree with you the American Racing just have a better look than the Cragars. Are your tires BFG Grabbers?

Glassman69, I went with Kumho 712's. Went with the 255's to try to maintain the 27" height on the front as well as the back to keep them as close to stock as possible. Don't think I'll have any problem with tight turns, just got to remember (hope I can) to take it easy in the curves.
