Vette(s): 1978 Silver Anniversary model. Original L82 engine, 700r4 trans, edelbrock intake, thorly headers, rack&pinion steering, mono rear and front spring, MSD 6A box
Finish putting in the new 700r4 and man what a difference. The old TH350 ran 3500 RPM at 70 MPH, the 700r4 shows  2200 RPM at 85MPH. Can't wait to see the difference in MPG. Love the way it shifts. Anybody thinking about the switch,  do it!!  You'll have a smile on your face.

Glad to hear it!  I have one that brother Joel built for me ready to go in.  It's in 71Shark's garage as we speak.  I have several questions, I'll start here and perhaps we'll have to take it off-line.

1) Did you use your crossmember and if so, did you just turn it around and weld a tab on it?

2) Where did you get your kit for the carb linkage and tab?

3) How much did you take out of your driveshaft?

4) How long did it take you?

5) Any Tips/Tricks that could help?

Thanks,
