Vette(s): 1982 Collector Edition
Hello,
I would like to soften the ride of my 82 so I'm thinking of replacing the FE7 Gymkhana rear spring with a 330 composite spring. Is it necessary to replace the front springs also?
Thanks,
Tom

Perhaps not necessary, but very advisable. If you soften the rear of the car and leave the front stiff, you could get an understeer condition, and general handling could suffer more than if you match all 4. Depending on your driving habits, it may not be too noticable. Then again.....

VBP advises to go with 460# springs in front and gas shocks when choosing the 330# mono spring. I have that setup on my 81 with Bilsteins and am very happy with the ride and handling. |cheers| |wavey|
