Vette(s): 1972 Coupe Anything, but Stock and more mods to come! SSBC Force 10 Brakes, 3.73, TH350, 355 CID, Rack and Pinion, Vette Brakes suspension front and rear.

I figure with the AOD trans it should get 16 to 18MPG.

sO WHAT KIND OF AIR CLEANER IS ON YOUR CAR? O YOU HAVE A hOLLEY OR eDELBROCK cARB? i CANNOT FIND A CLEANER THAT WILL FIT MY 600 eDELBROCK AND GIVE HOOD CLEARANCE

Update!  If all goes well i will be installing the transmission this weekend.

Obviously I have a lot more to do like hooke up a lot of lines and hoses, but its really starting to come.  Lot of work to get to this point.

Wow awsome lookin engine, only thing I would have did different would be to have gone with some retro looking Corvette valve covers. Nice work

Thanks for the kind comments.  I would of liked the corvette valve covers, but you can't get much more nostalgic then the ones I have.  They were on the car when I bought it and to all the records I have at work the last time they were offered was 1975.  Back then they had the black wrinkle finish.  I blasted them off and sanded the ribs down. I wanted the whole top end to have more of an industrial look and all alum. look with hints of color.

Our engineering department has never seen these valve covers before in either form (black or raw), but they were so impressed with the outcome the are actually considering reintroducing them as a new product.

Like I said a lot of hours and hot sweaty work to get to this point and not cheap either, but everything is starting to come together and I'm sure everything will be a blast to drive when done.
