hi everyone.
hey i got a new set of 15x8 polished aluminum torque thrust II's today! i love 'em!
it was no easy feat though. the first set rubbed the trailing arms and they had to order a different offset. i still have to use spacers on the back wheels. the front wheels just barely miss the calipers. but now if i crank the wheel hard, my front tires rub the end of the rocker panel slightly.
i have 255/60's all around and i may have to go to a thinner front tire.

i stayed with the 15" rims because i'm "old school" and i like the look of higher profile tires and the raised white letters. plus, my tires were still in fine shape and i wasn't about to buy new ones

anyway, i'll get some pics and update my signature soon. i'm putting on a chambered exhaust this week so i'll get pictures then.
anyway i'm just excited i just had to tell someone!!!!

Congrads on the new wheels. Hope you can get the minor details worked out.
I'm with you on the 15" wheels. O rings on the old cars just don't do much for me, but To each his own as they say.
Hey, I just noticed that you live right there in the middle of collector car paradise.

Been to the spring meet and to the Corvette show the past 2 years. It is great. Lots of nice cars for sale too, just didn't come down perpared to buy or to get a car home. They say to bring cash. Can't imagine walking around with all that money.

Congrats on the wheels. I'm with you on the old school...me too. I have
Power Sticks chambered exhaust on mine. They are true duals and sound
awesome. A lot of folks here think they are too noisy in the car.
I guess I got a good set because mine are just right.
Have fun!

Caution !!!!!! On those spacers. If you haven't changed to longer studs it is possible for those to loosen up and ? Also, be careful when mounting lugs, it's easy to strip those studs with less threads being grabbed. I had a set of wire wheels w/spacers and learned the hard way before I heard the stories of other unfortunates. Just be careful and aware.
