in my case the switch leaked oil, I removed the switch and soldered close and reinstalled it, besides your car is going to run better with advance in all the gears anyway

Yup..it's supposed to. The system was designed to keep the vacuum advance at a minimum at anything other than cruising speeds. In stop and go type traffic, it would not allow any vac. advance, which, in theory, would lower cylinder temps, and NO2 output. I'm sure Ken, or someone else could
