Vette(s): 1971 T-top, 350, auto, average condition mechanically. Needs paint.
I just bought a MSD ignition system and I need help/suggestions on where to install the ignition box and coil. I have a '71 350ci auto with PS, and AC. Any pictures or installation tips would be helpful. Thanks again for everyones help!

There's a perfect place for the CD box...behind the passenger side dash. A couple of screws and it pops out and you can mount the MSD behind it where it won't be seen.
Which coil did you get? The Blaster 2 or the Blaster SS? The Blaster 2 will fit in place of the OE coil. The Blaster SS will have to mount on the firewall or you can fabricate a bracket to mount it inside the distributor shielding like the original.Gunslinger 2007-01-06 14:11:47

Mount the control box inside, if possible. Where G'Slinger suggests is a good location. Also, pay attention to how you mount it, I think there is a specific warning on the unit as to which end should NOT point down.
