Me and two freinds removed the motor from my 77 last Saturday. We did it at freinds shop because he has a new lift. I literally cut out exhaust system, removed drive shaft, all wiring, cables, tapped out front mm bolts and two  trans. bolts,Lowered car and hooked up a lift that has a LONG lifting arm.Motor came out in 5 minutes. No radiator support frame. We were able to work from front of car with the long lift. Before any work I drained oil and fluid from the trans. All is well(so far)

The year long process has started.BTW,I had the 2primer,2paint job media blasted and they did a great job.80 grit on the DA gives a pretty good finish( I tried the t-tops)Frame has NO rust(Fla. car since birth)Media blast exposed R.rear fender had been hit.so Bondo job needs freshning. Epoxy primer in the future.L 48 motor showed no signs of wear,no lip at top of the cylinders, virtually no bearing wear either.Just maybe the 48,000 on odometer is for real

Nice job mikee. Good news on the engine. Pretty cool if the mileage is correct. Keep us posted.
