Picked the new stroker up at the tool shop yesterday. Got it home in the driveway as you can see. The wife pulls in and remarks with attitude I might add, "so this is the finished product!".
I look at her at say, honey its just like you when we met, once I go shopping and buy you everything you want it will become beautiful! She didnt like the comment but she knows we will be shopping for it! Actually we've already got most things to dress it up. Just like her!

Heres how I got it to the shed
.
Then onto the stand. nows its ready for painting and assembly

Tonight is cleaning up and getting ready to remove the original engine. Then etch the engine for painting. Hope I can find more ambition then Ive had lately!

Wow, I looked at the date that I started this thread and it was almost 8 weeks ago! Well tonight I can say the old motor is sitting on the floor. I now have to start the rework of the engine compartment. Im not too excited about that but as you can see I wasnt real excited or motivated to get the engine out either. Oh yea, I have to remove that fan shroud as well. Hope its easier then the 74 was. then I will need to remove the radiator and fit the new dewitts with electric fans. I think I have most of the things to put everything back together. The one thing I saw that I want to get is the jack stand set on rollers that summit has that bolts onto the wheel hub. I think that would make engine removal and installation much easier.

Somehow I missed this before, Rodney (I think I was out of town). Come on, that new engine has to get you pumped up! Can't wait to see the finished product!

It makes me excited just thinking about it. Wish I could be there to help and share the fun. "Let the good times roll".
