Would like to get some opinions from those with solid lifter experience. Shud I set valves with engine idling or not? I have oil clips if necessary. Haynes manual shows a range of settings for intake and exhaust valves. What numbers do you use? I could take it to a shop but would much rather learn to do it myself.

Thanks for any advise.

Vette(s): 1973 Orange Metallic Coupe (orig owner), L82, 4 spd (WR), PS, (A/C & PW (I installed from wrecked 73)), leather, AM/FM Stereo, ran with '65 FI unit earlier & will again some day. 2023 Accelerate Yellow HTC Stingray
Would like the info (marct@everestkc.net) also. Have tried both hot and running with clips and hot and off and doing when the lifter is on the base circle. Have mixed emotions |ohwell| on which is best.

Thanks,

Marc
