So as I'm playing with my parking brake cable the other day I end up locking up the driver's side parking brake on my 78.  No more avoiding the fact that my parking brakes are bad now....

So I drill out the rivits and remove (without marking the exact fitment of the rotor, of course) the rotor and all the parking brakes on one side when I realize that since the set up is kind of hidden on the other side, I have no real idea how to hook up the new springs and brake hardware to the new shoes.

Does anyone have a diagram, and ideally a "how to" for installing the new parking brake hardware, springs, and shoes?

ride it...errr... drive it like you stole it!

Pick up a Chilton's or Haynes repair manual or get the service manual for your vet ...they describe the whole procedure pretty good.

This won't be nearly as useful or complete as knotacare's
recommendation of Chilton's, Haynes or the FSM--but if you happen to
have a Corvette Central C3 catalog, they have a pretty good basic diagram
of the parking brake system on p. 36. No instructions are included, of
course; but it does give you an 'exploded' overview of the system's
components--

All set with it.. turns out the "L" shaped arm with the hinge pin was frozen on both sides.  All together now, thanks for the help guys.
