Key buzzer assembly in tilt tele wheel

When I took the column out of the car and disassembled it to repair the turn signal switch and key buzzer, I found the rattle in the column. The buzzer switch was missing and the clip was rattling around inside.

I have since found an NOS switch and I have tried to follow the service manual. Oh yeah! Mine is a 70 Roadster.

It says the bowed part of the clip is towards the switch. I am a novice and cannot for the life of me figure out how it goes. The picture makes perfect sense for the standard tilt wheel. The picture makes no sense to me for the tilt/tele wheel.

Has anyone else had to put the buzzer switch in and can anyone give me some pointers?

I am sure I will have other questions as I continue to put the interior back together.
