Just Pulled Engine\Trans out of car, please help

The engine isnt original, there wasnt any numbers but these under the piston crown: 185-99
And on the back block it has: HM3892657

Also the trans has these numbers on it: P0817 and S100413

please help if you can, thanks all

Engine:1967 302 cid 290hp Z28 small-journal thats all I can give you. keep in mind that this is the original setup of that engine. it could have been bored, stroked heads may be different (BTW, what are the numbers on the heads?)

you have the second most desired small block head. 1969-72 hi-comp (61.2 cc) good ports. the 2.02/1.6 valve versions will have screw in studs and guide plates. originally came with non-harden exaust valve seats but probably been replaced with harden seats for use with unleaded gas. bad point: Close proximity of water jacket to spring pocket on 492s cast prior to 1972 requires a special seat cutter if using larger springs. this head was originally used on 350 blocks

you have a pretty bad-ass motor, it's just not the original.

BTW what do you think your going to do with it? rebuild?

The engine also has a roller cam. I dont know what to do with the motor and it does run strong. What do you think the motor would bring? I have another 327 I may put into the vette. It may be more valuble to someone building a z28 so i may just cover it up in the corner of the garage .

Looking for a 302 what would you want for it.
