I have run BFG's before and had nothing but good experience.  Never hurts to check it out though.

I guess I'll see if I can find 15" tires in this town.  Gettin' kinda hard with all the big stuff out there these days.

I have the original GOODSWEAR run flats on my 01 vert and can tell you without any hesitation the they fail terribly in the noise catagory. It is a real toss up on what to put on these cars w/o a spare. Yeah I have a GM Z06 tire repair kit but what good is it in Egypt when the kit fails. Sure you can call AAA and have Bubba come. (Ask Dennis How that works...) My only recourse is to put a late model composite rim spare from say a GTO and a nice vinyl cover in the back with non run flats or drive with run flats.
I have looked at a gazillion threads in hope of finding a quite runflat with no luck. So in the meantime it's crank up the Bose or put on SLP Loadmouth exhaust to kill the tire noise.

Love the Goodyear name on my tires but they don't seem to have much of a life expectancy and though I thought that was a trade off for traction I'm not sure I'm getting much of that either. But I still love the name.

A couple members in another thread recommended the Firehawks and I think they will be my next choice.  Look around, the BFGs and Eagle GT IIs and becoming more pricey and harder to find for some reason 

 I checked at Sam's Club today. They don't carry BFG TA's but can order them in 255-60-15. They were about $87 ea. Probably about an average price. I bought the Goodyears just because there were BFG's on my '71 when I bought it. Two weeks later slung the tread off the rt. front and demolished the qtr. panel. That was  because the tires were only about 10-12 years old. Replaced the whole set then. Just one of the things the jerk I bought it from neglected to tell me.  I don't have that many miles on the Goodyears and they're gettin' down there.

I'm in complete agreement here.

I had the Goodyear Eagle GT II's on my vette when I was running 15's.  I thought they were nice tires.

Another yes to Firestone, quiet and good handling.
