I finnally got out on the road over the weekend after adjusting the steering box to remove the lash in the steering wheel. It really took care of my "wandering" problem. Then I had a mechanic(and friend) check the tie rods and ball joints. The tie rods are good, however the control arm bushings are shot so the front suspension is coming apart anyway. New coil springs are going in while it is apart and the ball joints will get a close inspection also. Thanks for all the help on the loose steering problem and Merry Chritmas to all! |saluteflag|
