Hello everybody !
I am trying to take of my rear brake caliper and I am not sure of the size of the bolt that retain the caliper is it 7/16 or ???? it is stuck and I dont want to scrap the bolt.
also I will change both rear calipers and steel hose also put new pins and bolts and new brake pads,
do you have tricks or tips for this job.

I had trouble removing a rear caliper off of my '76. I thought I had rounded off the bolt head. I ended up spraying lubricant on the bolt and tapping on the head of the bolt to help break it loose. I used a 6 point 5/8" socket to make sure that the head of the bolt did not round off. Use a good quality socket to make sure you get a good tight fit. I originally used a Craftsman 12 point socket and it slipped. I changed to a six point and was able to get it off. If you still have trouble getting it to loosen, spray on more lubricant and tap on the bolt, the vibration helps break it loose. If you have "air", use a 1/2" drive impact wrench. Hope this helps...

Yeah it is 5\8 ,And important safety,never try too break a frozen bolt or nut with a 12 point socket,you will either break the socket or round off the head of the bolt.I use a 10 or 12 inch breaker bar with an extension just long enough to get a good swing with the bar at a 90 degree angle,never try to break a frozen bolt or nut with a ratchet,you could end up tearing the teeth out of the ratchet not to mention taking about 7 layers of skin off your nuckles,if you can drive the socket on the bolt head ,that will make sure the socket is all the way on ,and help loosen it at the same time
