Hi All,
I was thinking about putting a voodoo cam in my 1978 and also doing a new intake and carb, and was wondering if it will fit under my stock hood?the intake is a Weiand Stealth its 4.18 inch front and 4.50 rear high. the stock intake is 3.00 front and 4.50 rear so its only 1 inch higher but I know theres not much room.
and the carb is Holley street avenger 670cfm, the hole kit is from summit item # SUM-CHLY200.
My car is apart and I can,t check how much clearance I will have.
any help would be GREAT!!!
thanks

If your not aware by now I work for Holley/Weiand. I'm not going to sway you one way or another, but here is a link to a post I made about measuring for intake clearance.

There are lots of good intakes on the market, just be careful to measure. IF your intake is off the engine and the car is appart I would follow the information above to measure your current intake and then stick with an intake that is rougly within a 1/2" taller and you will probably be safe.
My recommendation would be to wait until the car is back to gether and do a measurement with the engine and hood in place or find someone on here or anther sight that has the same year and model corvette and see what they are running.
I used to run a stealth with a carter afb comp series and I had a stock air breather for inspection only and it was no problem. I've still got it on the shelf. I've got a rpm air gap on the shelf now too.
are you interested in parting with the rpm air-gap ?

yes, are you interested in the carb, water return, throttle bracket or billet vacuum fitting? Let me know and I'll work something up.
