Intake Manifold Options

I just swapped in a 454HO in my 74. I am nearing the end and need to verify my intake options. The Chev Perform Prts intake Prt # 19131359 has a carb height of approx. 5.2". I could not find any other intake for rectangular port heads that was less. 

The LS6 Prt # 3977609 is low profile, however i have read that users have to add a spacer to get the performance. Does that bring you back up to a 5" carb height

I am going with the L88 hood and would prefer to stay with the CPP intake and recommended carb but don't know if I will have hood issues even with the L88 hood. 

I created my little 4" gage across the engine bay and things look close.
