IF it's in good condition, as in the case is not cracked/damaged, with no bolt holes stripped, and the internals are good, it's a pretty good deal.
Pics? Ratios? Specs?

The guy told me it has 40 miles on it and its brand new.  I did line up a Muncie with bell housing, drive shaft, clutch pedal with all the linkage for 1000 that came out of a 69. So question is which one for the money? I know I seem to come with this stuff all the time but I am getting all the parts together for this car. I just want to know I am paying the right amount.

The same money, for(almost) ALL of the components needed to convert to 4spd?? I'd have to say "No brainer" on that! Go with the Muncie/parts!

I don't have my trans numbers available but the Bellhousing is correct for a 14 inch (168 tooth) flywheel.  If this bellhousing is in great shape it is worth about $200.00 by itself.  Most Muncies have been rebuilt over the past 40 years so there is only one way to tell what you have.  Remove the side cover and look at the gears.  It they are cut at a slight angle and the teeth are straight, you have an M22, also known as the Rock Crusher.  If the teeth are cut at a steeper angle and have a helical twist to them, you have an M20 or M21.  The difference is the gear ratios and the only way to tell the difference is to count the teeth on each of the main shaft gears and the counter gears and do the math.

That tailhousing code (3857584) was used on 1966 through 1970 Muncies.  Of course it all could have been changed out during a rebuild.
