Vette(s): 57 Corvette, 63 Corvette convertible, 67 Corvette convertible and currently own a 75 Corvette coupe and 2000 coupe

I have a 75 coupe that I am in the process of installing the 68/69 style side pipers. That said I would like to bump up my horsepower. Without being able to install headers because of the side pipes How limited will I be? Will the pipes increase my airflow enough to allow me some changes to beef up the engine or is there too much of a restriction with them. I look forward to your input.

Kevin

Who says you need to keep stock manifolds to use sidepipes? Hooker makes side pipe header kits for the C-3 that should flow excellent for a huge amount of horsepower. For the engine mods, it goes how much money you got? How much horspower you want? If you want check out a another thread going in this forum, its about Jet hot side pipe headers.Tumarr38440.5004282407

Egual length headers will always be the best bet, but in your case, I would look into shorty headers or the large diameter rams horn manifolds. If you can find them. If you keep the rest of the system as free flowing as possible, you should be able to uses a bigger camshaft, better induction and hotter ignition. I like the side pipes myself, but the next cam going in the engine recomends headers. So a set of Dynomax ceramic coated are going on also.

Vette(s): 1975 C3 Red, T-Tops, Black Interior. All I need is time and money! Getting there!

How much of a bump?  Those pipes will allow for a lot of air flow increase.  You can start with the basic intake manifold and or roller 1.6 ratios rockers.  You can go to a cam and lifters.  A set of performance heads is another option.  There are many things you can do.

Bottom line,  "How fast do you want to go?  How much do you want to spend?"

Still true.
