...what tires should I get instead?

I posted this question a few months ago, but the two most suggested tires, BFGoodrich T/As and Firestone Firehawk Indy 500s are currently hard to find.  OTHER THAN the BFGoodrich T/As and Firestone Firehawk Indy 500s, what do you recommend?

This is for my 79 which, according to the stats, has P225/70R15 tires.

Thanks!

 Adam, Go with the BFG TA radial. I went to Discount Tire.com. Has free shipping to your front door.

The Cooper Cobra is an excellent tire. You won't be sorry if you choose it. Besides...having a Vette with Cobra tires tweaks the Ford guys.

Check the Cooper website and find a dealer close to you to get a price.

Hey Adam, I had to replace two last year, I still had the original Goodyear GT's on the front. dryrot. But the backs I moved to the front which they told me must be about 27 years old and don't make anymore, are the Goodyear ST's.

Have you heard of Creamry Tire in Skippack, they recommended I go with the Goodyear GTII. I just checked my bill and they were 100 a piece.

I am very happy with they way the feel and look.

Adam;

Uniroyal Tigerpaws will be what I look at when mine comes out of paint, assuming the BFGTA's aren't  back in stock by then.

This is my first Vette, and it had Eagle GT II's on it.  I can't say much about the other Brands, but I sure like the way the GT II's ride.  Just my .02 cents.  Thumbs%20Up Thumbs%20Up

Vette(s):
SOLD - "The Toy" - '70 Convertible
SOLD - "The Beast" - '90 ZR-1 (#682)
SOLD - "Betty" - '28 Ford Model A Tudor
SOLD - "BLKBRRD" - '78 Pontiac Trans Am
"BLUBYU" - '04 Coupe

Another option would be Kelly (Springfield) Charger radials.  I had a set of them years ago on an '83 Toyota Supra and loved them.  Great all around tire that handled the rain and snow very, very well.
