Hello boys & girls. Last night I brought home yet another Vette. Over the past 40 years I've owned a 64 convertible with a 502, a 65 396 convertible, 68 435 coupe, 69 435 coupe, 69 400 coupe, a 70 350/350 coupe, and a 98 coupe. Loved them all.
My latest is a 68 coupe. Looks to have been a 435 car (tach & rear hints), but now has a 71 454/365. Motor ID is T017CPH, vin C11S110827. No tank sticker, though.
So, if you have SN 110827, I have your engine. Rebuilt, and it runs like a top.
I bought this car to swap a contemporary LS motor with a 6 speed. So, if someone needs this engine, we can make a deal. If not, she'll stay in the Vette until I make my swap.
Hope I can make someone happy.
Thanks,
Doug

Low miles (was only 8,900 when I bought it in March 2006) - Now 54K miles. Original owner bought it as an investment for son's college expenses.

Welcome to the site Doug. I hope you can make someone's day!
Check out the thread on the 2009 Member Gathering. Connecticut's not that big, so I'm sure you're not too far from Mystic!
I wanted a Corvette my whole life, but I never dreamed of all the wonderful people I would meet because of it!

Whaddya mean Connecticut's not so big! It's HUGE. Well, maybe not huge. OK, its tiny.
I am located at the exact opposite corner if the state from Mystic, diagonally. Makes it a 2 hour drive. Sounds like fun.
Thanks for the heads-up.

Isn't there a way, on this site, to search for that VIN segment to determine if a member has that car?

Not really...but you can do a search by year, engine size, and trans, to narrow down the possibilities, then go thru the list and check for a specific VIN.
At least that's the way I've been doing it...
