This is a description of a new motor just built by a very interesting guy I've gotten to know, who really knows his way around the craft:
Chevy 496 BBC big block; complete engine, minimum 600hp 660 torque, 564.2 torque @ 2250 rpm, talk about bottom end grunt, over 100% volumetric efficient from 3,200 rpm on up, power climbs to 6,000 rpm.......NEW EVERYTHING.......new complete Chevrolet 496 with Mark 4 block, 4 bolt align honed and main studs, 4340 non-twist internally balanced crank, 4340 6.385" H-beam rods, KB signature 10:1 pistons, internally balanced, double plasma moly 1/16" rings, H-series racing "coated" bearings, blueprinted RHS Pro Topline aluminum square port heads that flow 380 cfm w/2.25" valves, stainless steel 1.8 roller rockers, Isky Hydraulic Roller cam with .612"/.644"" lift and 239/249 degrees @. 0.050" lift, Isky hydraulic roller lifters, gear drive, black anodized Edelbrock Victor Jr., Steel SFI degreed balancer, CompCams composite valve covers, stainless bolts for everything.... computer model says 600 hp. 660 torque and it's always down at least 10% on more when tested on a road dyno.... all on pump gas, the ultimate high performance, truck, 4x4 or boat motor....the only used part is the block, that is freshly rebuilt with deck plates, decked, bronze freeze plugs, teflon cam bearings, and align honed....everything else is brand new.
Mmm-mmm-mmm. Wouldn't that be fun to open up?

Hmmm - 600HP engine arrives int the stocking. That means I's have to find another C3 to put it in. I think that's a problem I'd like to have
