How to Replace Rear Diff Side Yoke Axle Seals

I'll be doing a diff. O/H this week. I'll get some nasty, gory, bloody photos...

Did these ever get done?

First, it is far easier if you just bite the bullet and take the whole thing out.  Second, if there is any lateral movement on the side yokes, I would go ahead and replace them just because it is such a major PITA to get to them.  Locating new side yokes is also difficult because they are different than the earlier models.  Earlier models are also less expensive because there are more of them and they are all the same; yours has a left and a right side yoke that are different lengths.  I would also replace the front seal while you have it out; this one is very close to impossible to replace in the car unless you have 12" skinny fingers that can do torque and see.  RIK's Corvettes has a side yoke rebuild source and they do a good job.
