How many fuel filters are on a 327 engine? One in the carb and that canister looking thing? What are the symptoms of a dirty filter? Stalling, hesitation?

Steve:
I believe there is only one...
I of course have a 327 in my 64 (365 Hp solid lifter) and also have a '67 327 350 Hp in my 72 at this time. ..
As to symptoms... ? Gosh I change mine every year or so anyway...BUT a real dirty filter will stop the flow of fuel...period.! And a dirty filter will restrict the flow of fuel .... Make your own judgements on the effect.. lol
I have another "CE" block 327 in the garage complete, from carb to pan with generator etc that I purchased to
put in my 76 when I feel the need for swapping out the L48 so you can guess I just have this thing for 327's...

Thanks Bob. Hmm...I just read in my shop manual that there are two. One's in the carb and another is a larger metal canister filter between the fuel pump and the carb. GC432 I think is the filter model number? Maybe only on the '68's?
