Vette(s): 1969 Corvette Stingray Convertible. Just bought it from my uncle who owned it since 1971. Fathom green, green interior. 350/300, T400.
I just took off the rear calipers and I can't get the rotors off! They should slide off the hub like a drum, right? I have been tapping around it and I can't get them to budge, been on 35 years. It's a '69.

Thanks,
Matt

They might still have the rivets holding them on, the rivets need to be drilled out. The only other option is to press the spindles out with the rotors intact.

If the car has been sitting, it's a safe bet the spindles need to come out anyway, if for no reason than to clean and re-lube them, new bearings and races too. |hammer|
