I'm about to replace the rear parking brake cable on my 80 Vette, any warnings or short cuts from those who have done this before?

Do you have the shop manual?
It is a life saver. I've used it many times and figured that i have saved big $$$$ by doing the fix myself.
If you need any help I could look up the procedures.
