Vette(s): 1969 Corvette Stingray Convertible. Just bought it from my uncle who owned it since 1971. Fathom green, green interior. 350/300, T400.

I'm having a heck of a time finding a kickdown switch for my '69. It's the one under the accelerator, GM part# 1993424. I've checked with alot of vendors with no luck. Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Matt

I found this one one Ebay, if you're interested. It is the same switch as the ones used in '73-75 Vettes for the cold air door in the hood. This switch was used in just about every GM car w/400 trans, except Caddys.

I found new switches from some vendors, but they list '70 on up, they don't know what the difference is for a '69 and neither do I, hoping someone here might be able to shed some light on the subject.

Thanks,

Matt

Check with Paragon. They are the best at finding new and used parts for all Corvettes. Also call Neil at Vette Products. They seem to have a lot of parts in supply.

Here's another source. I forgot about these folks, but I've always had good dealings with Rik & Laurie. There is a slight diff. in the switches for the years, but they will still work, if my memory serves me.

Well, that didn't work too well! Search by 'part #' and the part #SWT693

btw....The switches are repairable, if you have it. If it's missing, you can't fix it! Adams' Apple38436.8989583333
