HEI Tach Drive Distributor

Anyone know anything about this Dragon Fire HEI distributor from All-Ignition as sold on EBay.   The price is about a third of what you would normally pay for a good HEI tach drive distributor.   I've always said you get what you pay for, so I wouldn't expect much.   Thought maybe some of ya'll had heard of them or knew if they were any good.   Thanx.....

I don't know anything about that one.  The seller does have a good feedback rating, but that can be deceptive.  Quick shipping is great, but that doesn't tell you about their long-term satisfaction with customers as feedback can't be altered once initially entered.

It may be a fine piece of equipment, you only have to pay to play and find out.  It says it's a new unit, not a rebuilt one made to tach drive specs, which is good.  It says "Made in North America", which probably means "Made in Mexico"...not necessarily bad, just made where labor costs are cheap.  It likely has a cast body as a billet unit would definitely be much more expensive...again, not necessarily bad, just keeping costs down.

As a comparison, Summit racing sells a tach drive HEI under their name for $249.99.  For all we know it could be the same unit made by the same manufacturer.  Maybe so, maybe not.  At least we know Summit Racing and their good service.
