Heads and Cam advice

I considered the TFS heads also, they produce a great product. Before you spend the money, locate the machine shop in your area. The one all the speed shops do business at. Deal with them directly, ask them what they recommend for your application as far as heads. You may be able to get the TFS heads you want a little cheaper.

 As far as the carb, I can't say enough good things about Raod Demon I bought. More flow, better perfomance, better gas mileage and its easy to adjust.

Silverbullet, again thanks. I'm not sold on the TFS heads but they do look attractive at the combo pricing. I like what I heard about the Iron Eagles as well as the Demon. I have the original Qjet on my car that runs ok but would need a rebuild. The only reason I haven't touched it is that Bubba actually cracked one of the bolt holes on the Q, the bolt is missing (no threads to hold it) and there is some unidentified goo in it's place. Ya gotta love bubba. 

 My 69, coupe, has a zz4 block,edelbrock rpm 64 cc heads, crane roller cam,mallory ignition,edelbrock carb and h2o pump, this produces 415hp, and 420 lbs of torque, it can be put together for under 5k,,works good for me,,rd

Man, you guys on the other side of the Mason/Dixon line really know how to build small blocks. I guess I'm an anomaly here in NJ, the land of the ricer and home of the BMW. Keep your recommendations coming!

Do not feel like the lone ranger. I live in a ricer world here also. Before my motor was done they all wanted to race me, now they just stare, it's pretty funny.

 Rick D brings up a good point, don't go cheap on the ignition. everyone puts out good product, so it is a matter of personal preference. I chose MSD in addition to my stock HEI system but I would run Mallory, Petronix or Accel. You can get 10 or more horses from a good ignition system.

 What's cool is you are using the original block. You 'll have fun.
